Currently CFB Esquimalt has 4,411 military personnel and 2,762 civilians that work on the base (2018). Esquimalt has many beautiful water front locations such as Saxe Point, Macaulay Park, Bullen Park and many more. Esquimalt is only 4km away from downtown Victoria and has a beautiful walkway along the water called the Songhess Walkway.
